ARGYLE have signed Blackburn Rovers forward Alan Judge.
Judge, 20, has joined the Pilgrims - and Rovers team-mate Paul Gallagher - on loan until the end of the season.
Manager Paul Sturrock said: "We needed a freshness in midfield and he can play several positions in there.
"We've had him watched several times. He is a livewire, box-to-box type player. He is very similar to David Norris in that he is a pocket dynamo.
"He comes into the squad for Saturday. I will have a look at him in training and decide overnight.
"He is very hungry for the challenge and I have taken him as an offensive player to come from midfield and support the front two."
Earlier this week, the highly-rated Ireland Under-21 international signed a new contract at Ewood Park, which ties him to the Lancashire club until the summer of 2011.
That followed his recent elevation to the first-team squad, with an FA Cup appearance against Blyth Spartans and a place on the bench for Rovers' Premier League game against Stoke.
He made his senior debut earlier in the season, as a substitute in the Carling Cup against Grimsby, after impressing in Blackburn's reserve team the previous campaign, in which he scored seven goals.
An attacking, right-sided, midfielder, Alan is also able to play as an out and out striker.
He made his debut for Ireland at Under 21 level in October and has been named in the squad for the friendly at home to Germany on February 10.
He will be given squad number 23 at Home Park.
